Tiny but clean and has a good variety of baked goods, with good prices. Staff is really nice and friendly. We go there frequently. Edited post: I usually don't ask for receipts, this time I got it. I bought an item for $1.49, but on the receipt it was written as $2 (see photo)! And I noticed are no prices on the baked goods. I'm still going to go to the bakery because it's got yummy stuff, but it's a good idea to ask how much baked goods cost. Reminds me of the Mexican Bakery back home. My parents and grandparents would take me there for special treats. The beads and cookies are ALWAYS fresh. The empanadas are fresh and delicious. They have a small Mexican market inside as well. You can buy an assortment of chorizo, candy, dried peppers, tamale corn husks, masa, soda, in house made cakes and a bunch of other things only privy to Mexican Bakeries/ Stores. The service is always amazing and the staff is super friendly. If they don't have it, they tell you where you can get it. The prices can't be beat. I'm serious. The prices... can't... be... beat. Highly recommend this Mexican Bakery.
I got to know about this place from a friend. At their family wedding I got a piece of delicious wedding cake and loved it a lot. The cake was moist, light, and was practically melting in my mouth. It was made at La Espiga Dorada Bakery. Since that I ordered a few cakes from them.
Order the tres leche cake. So very delicious. Every one enjoyed. Need to order more for next time! Employees we all very nice and accommodating.
Small place but got conchas here and pan de muerto. Conchas were some of the best i had aside from maybe the trucks driving through the pueblitos in Mexico. Pan de muerto was delicious too! I got small ones for my coworkers and a big one for our ofrenda tonight! Cashier was nice and helpful. Highly recommend and we’ll probably come here frequently now on weekends to get that pan dulce hit we need.
Amazing little shop. Fresh baked breads and cakes, my favorite is the pan dulce or the jalepeno cream cheese filled croissant. Fair prices, and great owners. Definitely the spot if you are craving authentic Mexican bread imported spices or kitchen essentials.

We ordered a Tres Leches double cake from La Espiga Dorada Bakery in Garden City for our daughter’s first birthday, and it was absolutely delicious! The cake was moist, rich, and full of flavor, everyone at the party loved it and kept asking where it was from. This wasn’t our first time ordering from La Espiga Dorada. We first got a cake from them for our son’s 6th birthday, and we had such a great experience that we decided to come back again for our daughter’s special day and once again, they exceeded our expectations! The cake was beautifully made, fresh, and perfectly sweet. The bakery staff were friendly and professional, and the ordering process was smooth and easy. Been ordering tres leches cakes from this bakery since 2021!!! Amazing taste and quality! I just said it’s a small wedding cake for my sister and they designed the whole thing, very very very well done!! But they need to work on getting better boxes for the size of different cakes 2026 update: got another cake from today and it’s another great design!!! But this time they put less milk!
